From 25–27 May 2026, ELABORATOR partners met in Helsinki, Finland, for the project's 5th Plenary Meeting.
Hosted by VTT, the three-day event brought together consortium members to review progress, align upcoming activities, and strengthen collaboration across work packages.

Day one opened with updates on the project's Living Labs and city activities, followed by discussions on communication, dissemination, exploitation, and policy recommendations. Partners also had the opportunity to participate in a guided Smart City tour of Helsinki, highlighting innovative urban mobility solutions in practice.
On the second day, discussions focused on analytical and prediction tools, impact evaluation methodologies, and the progress of follower cities.
Partners exchanged experiences on environmental, safety, social, and mobility KPIs, as well as simulation activities and community-building efforts. The developments of the ELABORATOR Knowledge Hub were also discussed, as the new version of the repository will be available soon. A virtual site visit on intersection safety provided additional insights into real-world implementation challenges and opportunities.

The final day featured an interactive visualisation workshop, allowing participants to explore and test new data visualisation tools developed within the project. The meeting concluded with planning sessions on next steps and coordination activities, ensuring continued progress towards ELABORATOR's objective of designing inclusive, safe, affordable, and sustainable urban mobility solutions for climate-neutral cities.
The Helsinki plenary meeting provided a valuable opportunity to share results, gather feedback, and prepare for the final phase of project activities ahead of the final conference in November.
Stay tuned for more updates!
