ELABORATOR joins ITS World Congress 2024 to explore safe and sustainable mobility

ELABORATOR made a strong impact at ITS World Congress 2024 in Dubai, contributing to critical discussions on the future of urban mobility. On the second day of the event, the project co-organized the session "Sustainable and Safe Urban Mobility for All: Reality or Illusion?", bringing together experts to explore the challenges and opportunities of creating safer, more inclusive, and environmentally friendly transport systems.

The session was moderated by Giannis Karaseitanidis, Technical Director at I-SENSE Group/ICCS, while Evangelia Portouli, senior researcher and Administration, Quality & Dissemination Director at I-SENSE Group, presented ELABORATOR’s approach to sustainable urban mobility. The discussion featured key contributions from Evan Corey Costagliola, Senior Principal at Cityfi, and Guido Di Pasquale, Managing Director at Partners for Automated Vehicle Education (PAVE), who shared valuable insights on mobility innovation and accessibility.

The session explored the present situation of urban mobility and it presented suggestions on how to introduce safe, sustainable and inclusive urban mobility in our lives. A key takeaway was the need for cities to act as experimentation and innovation ecosystems in the transition to becoming climate-neutral.
