Overview
This paper examines parking problems in the Rochlice housing estate in Liberec and proposes a method for designing and evaluating corrective interventions. The identified issues include incorrect parking, exhausted parking capacity and restricted passage for emergency services. The approach connects an assessment of current conditions with strategic intervention design and an evaluation methodology aligned with sustainable urban mobility goals. It shows how quantitative evidence, resident feedback and cross-city learning can be combined when addressing parking in dense residential areas.
